Meet the Team

Shellie has been an outstanding employee and an exceptional assistant for about 25 years. She started with my predecessor while still in high school and with no experience and has become by far the most skilled and knowledgeable dental assistant I’ve worked with in my 19 years of practice. Her responsibilities are to assist Dr. Stratford-Jones chair side for your dental treatment and to make sure you are 100% comfortable.

Being so highly skilled, she does perform many of the procedures we do during your treatment, and you can be sure she is performing to the highest possible level. She is gentle, caring, and only has you, the patient’s, interest’s in mind while working with you. She is very knowledgeable about dental treatment, you can ask her any questions you have about your treatment. She can probably answer most questions as well or better than I can in fact! Hi my name is Jessica Solis and I am a Registered Dental Assistant at doctor Stratford-Jones's office. I grew up in Bakersfield, Ca where I attended San Joaquin Valley College. There I received my Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. I moved to Santa Barbara in 2017 with my husband and dog Izzy. A positive and great dental experience is what I strive for each and every one of my patients. It is very rewarding to know that I have helped someone with their overall oral health. I have been an RDA for 12 years and hope to continue to learn and grow personally in my abilities to serve the Santa Barbara community. I have a passion for all things decor and party planning and do that in my spare time. As well as going to the gym , attending concerts, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Meet Meredith, our skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist who brings over 15 years of experience to our team. Meredith embarked on her dental journey when she was young, visiting her father’s dental practice in Washington DC, and then later graduating from the University of New England in Portland, Maine. Her commitment to her craft is evident in every aspect of her work, and her education and experience have equipped her with a profound understanding of oral health and hygiene, enabling her to provide top-notch care to our valued patients.

Meredith’s gentle but thorough approach and meticulous attention to detail set the stage for a comfortable and effective dental experience. Her dedication to not only treating, but also educating our patients empowers them to take control of their oral health. With her warm and welcoming demeanor, Meredith ensures that each visit to our practice is met with professionalism, understanding, and a genuine desire to improve your overall well-being. Beyond her technical expertise, Meredith’s ability to connect on a personal level creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My name is Sonia Nunez, a dedicated dental hygienist. With over 19 years of experience in the field, I'm passionate about helping my patients achieve optimal oral health. I graduated from Oxnard College Dental Hygiene Program with a degree in Dental Hygiene and I'm certified by state of California. I believe in a gentle and compassionate approach to dental care, and I'm committed to staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology in the field. When I'm not in the office, I like to explore the great outdoors, travel, and spend time with my family and friends.

Meet Gabby, our Office Manager. A Santa Barbara native, she's been in the dental field for over 20 years. With her extensive experience and profound commitment, Gabby has taken on the role of overseeing and managing the workings of our practice. She enjoys helping and interacting with patients. In her free time, she loves hanging out with her family, watching movies and gardening.

I've excelled in customer service for the past 22 years. Making sure that all our patients/customers get quality care is my priority. I take pride when I see a patient come and leave with a smile from the office and I've answered all their questions by phone.

I worked at a dental supply company in Santa Barbara for 10 years. I learned dental terminology and treatments which led me to employment in the dental office field for the past 2 1/2 years.

Outside of work I enjoy time with my husband and dog, friends/family time, music, dancing, watching movies and the occasional hike/out doorsy things.
